Micki Lacker, RN, MS, ANP-C
Micki loves working with adults and loves Cardiology. She has worked in the cardiac critical care area in various hospitals for 15 years. She transitioned into teaching nurses to work in intensive care. She missed the patient contact, so returned to school for her advanced degree as an Adult/ Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. In addition, she sat the certification exam for the Cardiovascular Specialty. She belongs to the American Nurses Association and North Texas Nurse Pracitioners Association where she served as Treasurer for five years.
Micki enjoys treating patients holistically, and strives to consider emotional, social, spiritual and physical aspects of the patients she meets. She views her role as collaborative, wherein, she is invited to assist the patient achieve their health goals. As a nurse practitioner, she enjoys the team approach at Heart First.
